  • Those who have received a notice/PV with defects and want to understand the procedure

To be prepared in advance

Section actions
  • Grey card
  • Previous inspection report (if available)

Step-by-step procedure

Section actions
  1. 1Check the date of the next check on the grey card (first release date) — the first check takes place in the 6 months before the 4th anniversary, then all 2 years.
  2. 2Make an appointment at an approved centre (technical control centre) — these are independent stations, not the ANTS.
  3. 3Pass control: 133 verified points (brakes, pollution, tires, lighting, safety) ; takes about 30–45 minutes.
  4. 4In case of major/critical defects — a counter-visit is programmed: correct the deficiencies and re-check within the specified time.
  5. 5Keep the minutes — it is required for insurance, sale and in case of dispute.
  6. 6For a passenger car of more than 4 years sold to an individual, provide a CT minutes of less than 6 months on the date of application for the new registration certificate. If a counter-visit is prescribed, it must be performed in the 2 months following the initial check; in case of critical failure, repairs and counter-visit must be performed before sale to an individual.

Common mistakes

Section actions
  • Passing the expiry of the control — fine
  • Roll with major defects detected (dangerous and illegal)
