Background
In French public universities, a distinction must be made between CVEC and registration fees. Some foreign students may be subject to differentiated fees, but nationality, status, scholarship and rules of the institution may change the amount.
Why it's important
Checking your status before paying avoids an error and requests an exemption on time. The amount must be confirmed with the university concerned, as the general rules contain exceptions.
What Changes
The CVEC amounts to €105. The ordinary fees are 178 € in license, 255 € in master's and 398 € in doctoral; some foreign students are subject to a differentiated tariff.
Useful details
- For some foreign students outside these categories, the differentiated fee is €2,902 in license and €3,950 in master's.
- The differentiated fees do not apply to the doctorate; the university can exempt some foreign students according to its rules.
- Before payment, ask the institution to confirm your class and the total amount to be paid.
