- Those who make online transfers or receive suspicious calls/e-mails
To be prepared in advance
Section actions
- Opposition number of your bank (registered in the phone)
- Knowing that the bank never asks for full codes
Step-by-step procedure
Section actions
- 1Never communicate complete card codes, passwords or data by phone or email. The bank never asks for them.
- 2Check URLs before entering data. The scams copy impots.gouv.fr, Ameli and the banks, so look at the exact address and browser lock.
- 3Enable double authentication in your bank and on important services. It takes a few minutes and reduces the risk a lot.
- 4Check your statements and card operations regularly. The sooner you find a problem, the easier it is to challenge it.
- 5In case of phishing or attempted scam, object to your bank and report the case on signal.conso.gouv.fr.
- 6In the event of an unauthorized transaction, challenge it to the bank as soon as possible and file a complaint if necessary.
Common mistakes
Section actions
