Background
Until now, the paper care sheets had to be mailed to the Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM), which delayed reimbursement. This new service is part of the continuous digitisation of Health Insurance, which has also made the Vitale card available on smartphone.
Why it's important
Reimbursement is only triggered once the care sheet is received by the caisse. To be able to photograph the document and send it from his phone avoids a postal shipment and accelerates the process. A deposit confirmation arrives directly in the mail of the ameli account, which makes it possible to verify that the application has been registered.
What Changes
A new teleservice is integrated into the "Ameli Account, Health Insurance" app on iPhone and Android: it allows you to file the photo or PDF of the care sheet, indicate the beneficiary, identify the doctor with his 9-digit number, enter the amount of the fee and validate the refund application.
Useful details
- Health Insurance sends an acknowledgement of receipt to the mail of the ameli account confirming the successful filing of the application.
- The exhibit can be a snapshot photo, an image of your gallery or a PDF file.
- If the photographed document is not a medical care sheet issued by a physician, it is refused and must be sent by mail to CPAM.
- The limit of 5 claims over 30 days applies to all insured persons and their beneficiaries, including children.
- Paper care sheets transmitted via teleservice must be stored 27 months, without further shipping to CPAM.
